User Configuration
This section describes how to configure the following POS user types:

Default Users
The following describes how to setup Enterprise POS to allow employees to automatically login as a "Default User".
Use this configuration if employees are not required to enter POS login credentials for authentication.

Create Default User

To create a Default User:
From the Default Users homepage, select Create Default User.
From the General page, define the following:

Default User Name
Name to identify Default User on POS
Employee Corporate Code
Corporate Code to identify user on POS
From the Availability page, indicate the active status of the user at each site.
From the Roles page, assign roles and their respective permissions to the user.
Support Users
Create "Support User" accounts to enable technical support to login to Enterprise POS with specific permissions.

To create a Support User:
From the Support Users homepage, select Create Support User.
From the General page, define the following:

Support User Name
Name to identify Support User on POS
Employee Corporate Code
Corporate Code to identify user on POS
From the Availability page, indicate the active status of the user at each site.
From the Roles page, assign roles and their respective permissions to the user.
Start Support Session
To sign on to Enterprise POS and start a technical support session:
From the Genius Portal, generate a Support User PIN.
From the Sign On screen at the POS, select Support to open the Support window.
From the Support window, select Enter POS Support Mode.
From the support session screen, type the Support User PIN in the PIN-code field.
From the support session screen, select Enter.
