Price Points

Price points enable a site to charge a different price and/or enforce a different pricing rule during special events, such as a football game, for example.

  • Use the Price Points editor to create the price point records that are used when configuring pricing and pricing rules for products and modifiers.

  • Assign price points to specific events using the Events editor from the Xenial Cloud Portal. Assign price points to specific event types using the Event Type editor.

  • Define price points for products and modifiers from the Price page of the Product List and Modifier List editors, respectively.

  • Add price points as conditions for specific pricing rules defined for products and modifiers. Define pricing rules using the Pricing Updates editor.

Create Price Point

To create a price point:

  1. From the Price Points homepage, select Create Price Point.

  2. From the Create Price Point window, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Site-Specific Values

    Toggle Yes if site-specific values are defined for the price point.

    Toggle No if the same value is defined for all sites for this price point.

    Price Adjustment

    From the dropdown, select the applicable option:

    • Replace - Price point replaces base price of product/modifier.

    • Amount - Adjust base price of product/modifier by specified amount.

    • Percentage - Adjust base price of product/modifier by specified percentage.

  3. From the lower-right of the Create Price Point window, select Continue.

  4. From the General section, define the following:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Name of price point.

    ID

    ID for price point.

    Description

    (Optional) Description of price point.

    Site-Specific Values

    Indicates if site-specific values are defined for price point.

    This field cannot be edited.

    Price Adjustment

    Indicates price adjustment type.

    This field cannot be edited.

  5. From the upper-right, select Save.
